Egypt Sound Map is a web-based soundscape project that acts as a historical record and a subjective representation of the country’s sonic identity, diversified soundscape, resident’s dialects, transportation sounds, and wedding sounds from the south to the north and from the east to the west. with the goal of preserving and archiving these sounds before they disappear due to the technological developments and environmental changes. It is continuing, ever-growing, ever-changing, and totally interactive living project.
